ZEMA began by questioning why that choice exists at all.
ZEMA takes a minimal, barrier-first approach to skin care.
We focus on:
- simplicity over excess,
- function, feel, and appearance equally,
- products that support the skin without overwhelming it.
Our formulations are intentionally restrained, avoiding unnecessary ingredients, harsh actives, and anything that compromises comfort or tolerance.
Healing skin doesn’t need pressure. It needs consistency.
Dry and eczema-prone skin is not static.

Education is central to how we operate.
Through The Dry Skin Journal, we explore the wider context of barrier health; lifestyle, environment, stress, clothing, air quality, and routine.
Dry and eczema-prone skin does not exist in isolation. Understanding its triggers allows care to become intentional rather than reactive.
We do not push products indiscriminately. We share knowledge so that support can be chosen thoughtfully; according to the phase the skin is in.
Dry and reactive skin affects people of all ethnicities, skin tones, ages and backgrounds.
ZEMA is built to be inclusive by default, in who we represent, and design our products for.
Our goal is to create a calm, supportive space for anyone navigating sensitive skin, without judgement, assumptions, or exclusion.
